Danbury Before and After School Club has been running since January 2011 in our setting in the grounds of St John’s Church of England Primary School.

Breakfast Club is open from Monday to Friday during usual school term times and will take children age 3+ from 7.30 a.m. to 8.50 a.m.

Breakfast will be provided and is a choice of cereals, toast with various spreads, fresh fruit and yoghurts. We offer milk, water and fruit juice to drink.

Children attending St John’s Primary School are walked by a member of staff to the school reception in time for the start of the usual school day.  We are not currently offering transportation to any other school.

The cost of the Breakfast Club is £5.00 per day with a one off registration fee of £20 (this registration fee will include registration for the After School Club if applicable).  Parents can book spaces as an ongoing arrangement and can pay half termly or monthly. Parents, once registered, can also use us, spaces permitting, on an irregular basis like our pay and play at Pre-School.

After School Club is open from Monday to Friday during usual school term times and will take children who attend primary school only from 3.10 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.

We intend to offer a variety of after school activities, such as cooking , movie night and craft time on a rotational basis. We involve the children in making their own rules for the club and guiding us regarding their interests as the club develops. We provide space and time for children to do their homework and children are free to participate in any activity available during a particular session. We have targets for the children to earn weekly and end of half term rewards such as a Halloween party or Christmas disco.

At teatime we offer a hot meal with dessert such as pasta bake followed by yoghurt or turkey steaks with crispy potatoes and broccoli followed by ice lolllies.  Our menu works on a three week rota basis and changes termly.  To view our current menu please click here.

Children attending St John’s Primary School are collected by a member of staff from the school dining hall and will be walked in a group to our building.  The staff member will be in the dining hall by 3.10 p.m. each day.  We are not currently offering transportation from any other school.

The cost of the After School Club is £12.00 per day with a one off registration fee of £20 (this registration fee will include registration for the Before School Club if applicable). Parents, once registered, can also use us, spaces permitting, on an irregular basis like our pay and play at Pre-School.
